Prayer Watch connects people who want to pray intentionally for Greater Lafayette. Updates bring prayer needs, encouragement, and opportunities to gather into one place.
This ministry is guided by local pastors and ministry leaders. Participants are encouraged to remain active in their own church or campus fellowship, with the support of their ministry leadership.
Toward that end, we have mobilized an arm of the GLGA
specifically focused on mobilizing local laypeople in prayer.
We call it the Greater Lafayette Prayer Watch or GLPW.
The history of the church illustrates an old truth: when God prepares to move among His people, He often first calls them to prayer. For years, believers from different churches and denominations across Greater Lafayette have been drawn together to pray for revival and spiritual awakening.
That shared burden has taken shape through City and Campus Concerts of Prayer, National Day of Prayer observances, prayer walks, Pastors’ Prayer Breakfasts, prayer retreats, and other local prayer initiatives.
Our hope for revival is in God. As we recognize how He is already at work, we continue in faithful obedience and united prayer, asking Him to move in our churches, campus, and city.
Anyone who desires to pray to God on behalf of our city and campus can join the Greater Lafayette Prayer Watch.
We expect that anyone involved in this prayer network is also active in the life and ministry of a local church and/or campus fellowship, and has the support of a pastor, elder, or campus ministry staff worker for involvement in this city and campus-wide prayer ministry.
